Libya

i think that Qaddafi is truly an awful leader, calling the protestors (his own people) cockroaches and wanting to kill them all. Even the fact that he blocked the internet makes him a bad leader. I think he needs to be over thrown and that the protestors need to get a little more organized if they want to achieve that. I think that Qaddafi blaming foreigners as the cause for rebellion is ridiculous. It's his own people who are the cause of the rebellion and they are tired of him and want him out. i think it's great that even parts of Libya's military is changing sides and becoming part of the rebellion. The protestors in Libya are going to need all the help they can get overthrowing Qaddafi considering he said he will fight on to the last drop of his blood.

Bahrain

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12509658

1. The mostly Shia protesters want to overthrow the Sunni royal family because they feel like they are being repressed. The protesters are assembling peacefully in large groups on the streets. The Bahrain Government is restricting the internet in response to the protests. While walking the streets, harmless protesters have been shot at and exposed to tear gas. The United States would never use violence on protesters who are peacefully assembling. I expect to see the overthrow of the royal family and a constitutional monarchy form.

The Death Penalty

I am for the death penalty. I believe that criminals who have committed serious crimes such as murder and rape should be put to death. I think that they shouldn't have the privledge to live when they've either taken someone's life or completely ruined it. I don't think the death penalty is too harsh or cruel. We shouldn't have to waste a single moment debating if the death penalty is humane or not, they are criminals and they don't deserve to be treated humanely.
